A confidential, non-judgemental space where you can talk openly about what's on your mind — and begin to find a way forward.
Counselling is a talking therapy between a client and a trained professional. I offer a confidential, non-judgemental space where you can discuss your thoughts, feelings and concerns at your own pace. I listen with compassion and respect, supporting you in making your own decisions — rather than telling you what to do.
Unlike conversations with friends or family, counselling is different because I won't share my own experiences, pass judgement, or prescribe solutions. Instead, we work together to help you identify what's challenging you, understand the triggers behind certain behaviours, and recognise patterns that may be holding you back.
Keeping difficult emotions bottled up can be damaging and leave people feeling stuck and unable to progress. Counselling offers a way through.
Together, we can work towards positive and lasting change. This might include:
The length of counselling varies depending on the individual and what you'd like to work on. Some people see meaningful change in as few as six sessions; others find that longer-term work better suits their needs. Progress is reviewed regularly, and you always decide what feels right for you — there's no pressure to continue beyond what you find helpful.
I work with adults and young people aged 14 and over. Before we begin, I offer a free 30-minute telephone consultation — a chance to talk about what's brought you to counselling, ask any questions you might have, and get a sense of whether working together feels like a good fit. There's no obligation to proceed.
My practice is set in a peaceful, private countryside location between Dorking and Reigate. The therapy room is calm and welcoming, with free on-site parking and ground-floor accessibility.
A second consulting room in central Reigate — Suite 1, Alma House, Alma Road, Reigate RH2 0AX. A convenient option if you'd prefer to meet closer to town.
If you'd rather meet from home — or can't travel easily — sessions are available by secure video or telephone, anywhere in the UK. Many people find them just as effective as meeting in person, with the added comfort of being somewhere familiar.
Reaching out is the hardest part. Book your free 30-minute consultation — no commitment and no pressure.
